I maybe should've mentioned I'm a Slackware Linux guy by day so it literally took me all night to figure out installing OpenBSD on a softraid 1 array... 🙃 I installed it in a VM on a single (virtual) disk per Michael W. Lucas' excellent "Absolue OpenBSD" book. But yes I hope to make this my firewall to replace my Cisco 2911. I'm a network engineer from a Cisco heavy background so this is very exciting for me. Can't wait to replace my Cisco router with this bad boy

Here's some shots of the chassis. I hope to put it in my little 6U rack to replace the Cisco 2911 so yeah it'll be rack mount. The case was like $30, full of razor thin metal that cut me up but this thing was pieced together from a Dell desktop my neighbor was tossing so for the money spent I can't complain at all

That's exactly the catalyst for me doing this, I know I will once I can wrap my head around pf.conf... Peter N. M. Hansteen's Book of PF is next on my list once I get the basics operational, e.g. VLANs, routing table, and trunking

Also coming from Cisco IOS help menu and Linux man pages... OpenBSD man pages are top shelf documentation dude
